What looks like nothing more than a hole in the wall in the cul-de-sac end of Burton Street opens up into a luxe little bar and coffee house inside; all marble, gilt and heavy drapes. The friendliest barista this side of Oxford Street turns his hand from pulling Gravity coffees ($3.30) - smooth, rich, and strong - to expertly mixing Bloody Marys and Sgroppinos; chatting to regulars and handing out daily pastries from the counter. The morning's bacon and egg rolls segue into salads for lunch and, as night falls, Italian-accented bar snacks. Whatever the time, it's a nice place to be. Bacon and egg rolls and Gravity coffee by day; and meatballs, gorgonzola arancini, Two Italian Boys wine and freshly brewed espresso martinis by night. Nice.
