Contemporary

You could walk past 3Group and not notice it's there, which would be a right shame if you were in need of a peppery Genovese flat white ($3.50) or cup of Tea Drop tea. There's a fragrantly herby green omelette with tomato, pesto, green tahini and toast, or one of the Israeli proprietor's fresh sandwiches, cleverly offered in three sizes and with bread made on the (tiny) premises. The panini, in particular, make elegant little snacks, with fillings such as pesto, prosciutto, bocconcini, basil and tomato. Now discovered by overseas visitors 'doing the Cross', it's a real workout for the multilingual eavesdropper.
