A Minor Place

Contemporary

This has become A Comfortable Place for Brunswickians, who tend to use it as their personal study. It's a homely reclaimed weatherboard with comfy banquettes, shared tables, indie music and free Wi-Fi. The house coffee is the Bathysphere blend, roasted around the corner at Wide Open Road. The brunch-focused menu is simplicity itself: a bagel with grilled ham, poached egg, relish and rocket; BLAT on a sesame panini; poached eggs on toast with roasted tomato, avocado and 'Henry's beans' (white beans with garlic and rosemary). Despite the place's popularity, breakfasts appear quickly and nothing ripples the laidback north-side mood.
