Mediterranean$$

One look at Amanda's new signage (a bike, a flower, a smile) and it's clear she is leaning evermore towards France. A fait accompli, perhaps, when your chef is from Normandy. His strengths shine in dishes such as chicken and white string beans in a silky potato broth, or with some funky Jensen's Red brie atop bread served with walnut and apple salad. Out front, turning a fine coffee, Amanda has further coloured her domain, with books, flamboyant lightshades and, vitally, a cabinet to show off her alluring sweets, including bread-and-butter pudding, made with croissants and marmalade.
