Ammny's Janani

Spread over three shopfronts, Janani has a banquet room to the right, a small takeaway counter to the left, and a no-frills dining room and terrace in the middle where you can enjoy authentic Sri Lankan and Indian cuisine. There are plenty of street food favourites, from the crisp pancake-like hoppers filled with sweet coconut milk, to the vegetable roti served with Sri Lankan-imported green chilli sauce. More substantial options include a lightly spiced eggplant curry or a meat version (perhaps goat) accompanied by a range of sides such as dhal, green beans and chickpeas. It can sometimes be hard to get attention, so make sure you're ready to order when the waitstaff appear.
