Ashfield BBQ

Korean$$

Not for the lazy or impatient, a Korean barbecue requires you to fire up the hotplate in the middle of your table and get grilling. Order a selection of raw meats, throw them on then mix it up with kimchi, fried potato, garden salad, exotic vegetables and a colourful collection of spicy sauces. For the less enthusiastic, there are plenty of kitchen-prepared dishes. Soups are their speciality, whether it's pork bone, whole chicken, cod, beef stew or chunky vegetable. Fried chicken is a hangover diner's best friend, but if your head is pounding you won't appreciate the plasma screen playing Korean pop idol shows and the somewhat gaudy decor.
