Ashfield BBQ

Korean$$

The name is as no-nonsense as the premises - two rows of tables and a TV playing K-pop mounted on the wall. That’s not to say it’s dull; Korean barbecue is anything but. Don’t wear your best shirt, resign yourself to smoky smelling hair, then throw pork belly, marinated chicken or beef bulgogi onto your sizzling grate. Portions are huge - two meats are enough for a couple, with an accompaniment of tangy bibimbap (mixed rice and veg with a raw egg on top). Grab a beer from their fridge to wash it down and remember: banchan - side dishes - are all-you-can-eat.
