Thai$$

The warehouse-like space decked in designery stylings (gleaming decorative bicycles, tennis-court-sized Jenga wall) might seem a long way from Bangkok street food, but this clever restaurant gets the details right. Pad Thai will be in front of you within minutes, its citrusy-flavoured noodles not too soggy or dense, and shareable stir-fries and curries follow a few seconds later. Thai standards are well done, but the ‘son in law tofu’ takes top billing, offering eggy packets of beancurd that melt like a whisper on the tongue. Bowls of sweet and spicy condiments on your table are a cute buzz-hum touch, too.
