Bank's Thai

Book ahead at weekends, as Bank's Thai is well loved for its MSG-free menu and interesting ingredients such as crocodile. Dark, inviting and livened up by a notorious laser feature, Bank's is smaller than its King Street competitors but has a cool outdoor space that seats about 30 and is coveted by groups. Expect to be fussed over on quieter weeknights with candles, ice buckets and friendly conversation from the owner and staff, who receive regular waves from passersby during service. The red duck curry and chicken pad see ew kick the palate in all the right places, and complimentary savoury crisps and fruit are sweet bookends to faultless entrees and mains.
