Bao Dao Taiwanese Kitchen

Taiwanese

Steamed pork buns are the kind of thing best ordered by the wheelbarrow. The silky minxes at Bao Dao are no exception, going down easily with their sweetly braised pork belly, pillowy buns and pickled mustard greenery. A fried chicken maryland bento box proves the Taiwanese can crisp a chook skin as well as the Koreans, and a salty beef flank soup provides good seasoning for the swollen dumplings and bok choy also occupying the bowl. Staff are as super-friendly as the room is super-small (and super-loud due to the Casio keyboard champions belting out T-pop classics at the entrance).
