Bar Idda

Italian$$

Who would have guessed macaroni could taste this good? Granted, it’s served with slow-cooked beef and pork ragu and grated pecorino, under the careful attention of chef Alfredo La Spina. Dishes are designed to be shared - things like house-made salami; sweet cinammon-spiced meatballs made with braised beef, almonds and pinenuts; and zeppole (savoury doughnuts) - with classics such as affogato to finish. With wooden chairs and tables, embroidered tablecloths and a low-key vibe, the dining room inspires you to linger. Locals pop in and order ‘the regular’, propping at the bar and watching passers-by. Bar Idda is code for warm and inviting.
