Bar Reggio

Italian$$

They call the iceberg lettuce and tomato salad 'normale' at this much-loved Italian pizza and pasta bar. It's also 'normale' for the TV to be on and for a queue to form outside. The huge menu means there is pizza (thin, laden with cheese) and pasta (good old-school faves such as spaghetti with sausage, without that acidic heartburn hit you often get) as well as bowls of soupy mussels, plate-sized schnitzels and grilled fish. Everything shows a bit of wear and tear, including the hard-working waiters, but it's a good, fun place to BYO, with the added advantage that you can book.
