Batch Espresso

Batch Espresso is a NZ initiative (owned and staffed by Kiwis) but it’s been thriving here for 14 years now, so, surely, we can claim it as one of our own. There’s a chilled vibe, cheery service, carefully made coffee and a menu bright with smart options. Try lemony buttermilk pancakes doused with blueberry compote and maple syrup; a tower of avo and feta mash on toasted sourdough, or kedgeree replete with house-smoked fish. And don’t miss the old-style display cabinets, stuffed with goodies like beef and red wine pies topped with fluffy mash, or sticky cinnamon scrolls.
