Have your say
Sadly the smoking laws have turned the beer garden into fag ash central or we'd be out there on a balmy spring evening. Inside there's a friendly buzz and you can see into the kitchen - out of which comes food full of surprises. Prawn and garlic spring rolls are long, Leunig-like whorls of stuffed pastry. They look great and taste just as good. A duck salad with fantastic tamarind sauce is excellent, with lots of juicy quacker, snowpeas and broad beans, while a perfectly cooked salmon fillet is crisp skinned, topped with olive tapenade and accompanied by kipfler potatoes and white anchovies in a moreish combination.
