Contemporary

Those in the know pull off Pittwater Road and go a block out of their way for a coffee experience that captures the best of old world and new. Belaroma has history in this town - they've been roasting since 1968 - yet they're up-to-the-minute with coffee trends. Hence the cafe menu lists Cup of Excellence beans put through either AeroPress or cold-drip, and all coffees start with a double ristretto base. The light-roast Octavia blend caffe latte ($3.90) is warm and toasty, and the menu's brekkies, wraps and rolls are spiced up with jamon, chorizo and salsa.
