Bistro K

Korean$$

Bistro K adds international intrigue to dishes to create a thoroughly modern menu. Bistro K puts a ‘K’ in Kontemporary, pairing deep-fried seafood balls with cauliflower puree for starters. Mains may be two crisp-skin salmon fillets artfully plated with fine discs of soft-roasted beetroot, a rice ball wrapped in chewy kimchi-sesame leaf, and crowned by a sheath of dehydrated red-pepper sauce. Clever. Bibimbap gets a DIY makeover - served in two parts for you to add-and-mix together. It’s high-end eating in cool-school surrounds: bare red-brick walls, industrial lights and seats, big bar well stocked with shochu and Smith Street address.
