Bluebird Espresso

Bluebird's walls- they're blue- are adorned with artworks straight from grandma's lounge room and the atmosphere is just as familial. But if the fitout feels kitsch-cool, the menu is decidedly modish: banana bread is piled with a colourful mountain of berry compote, fresh banana and spicy yoghurt; harissa eggs come on Noisette bakery bread with beautifully blistered red capsicum; and sandwiches, such as chicken, avocado and chipotle mayo, bring pizzazz to lunch. But this is an espresso bar, right? The coffee is great- a smooth brew made from Espresso Syndicate beans.
