Bondi’s Best

The name is no hyperbole. We could rave about the nicely crunchy beer-battered fish and tempura king prawns, about the focus on sustainable seafood, or about the small but smart wine list. We would, too, if we weren’t so distracted by the show-stopper sushi. Even the rice is cooked just right in salmon rolls spiked with spicy pickles, while nigiri are draped with generous cuts of jewel-like, elegantly long-tailed fish and topped with a tiny fleck of plum paste. The simple white interior is smart, and outside seats win you a view of the ocean. What could be better?
