Contemporary

The problem with the communal tables at this palace of pastry is that you're so often tempted by what the person opposite is enjoying. The signature lamb, harissa and almond sausage roll remains a winner, closely followed by the chicken, porcini and white bean pie in all its oozy unctuousness. A roast pork, pancetta and cabbage toasted sanger with dill-mustard mayo hits the spot, but leave room for the dazzling macadamia and honey sticky bun. Your neighbours will drool with envy. With four locations in the inner city, it's not so far to the shop if you want a sausage roll. Also at Alexandria, Potts Point & Surry Hills.
