Contemporary

The fine people of Botany-Matraville-Hillsdale know on which side their bread is buttered - hence this cafe that fronts the Brasserie Bread Bakery warehouse is perma-chockers. It serves a good coffee and a great brekky - poached eggs draped in smoked trout and fetta on sourdough toast are just plain fabulous and almond croissants are a crunchy delight. The team uses Allpress beans (co-owner Tony Papas is partner in that business) and a large capp ($3.90) is light and spicy. But wait, there's more - take home a crusty loaf or a signature eclair from the bakery shop.
