Brunswick Street Alimentari

Contemporary

Green bottles of De Cecco olive oil line the shelves, and the deli case is packed with all manner of antipasti. Alimentari is the epitome of Italian charm. Grab a wrap, perhaps the meatballs with mayo and melted provolone shot through with spinach, or sit (in the classic front room or bright, newer back room) and tuck into baked eggs with rich tomato sugo infused with the salty earthiness of black pudding, sliced Italian pork sausage and basil. Nutella-drizzled crepe triangles sandwiched with ricotta and orange zest may have a lovely roasted-hazelnut crunch. The almond biscotti goes down a treat with the deliciously smooth coffee.
