Diners at this spirited two-storey squeeze are so enamoured they leave love notes for the charismatic waiters. But the swoon-worthiness doesn’t stop at the staff. Fresh buffalo mozzarella imported from Naples makes a fine centrepiece for pick-and-mix antipasto plates, best shared with a carafe of house red. There’s also luscious ricotta gnocchi, orecchiette with peppery lamb ragu, and spaghetti cacio e pepe, served out of a wheel of cheese with a theatrical twist of the tongs. It’s no bookings, so get in early. It’s house-made tiramisu for dessert, or a trip to Gelato Messina nearby. PS: we love you.
