Middle Eastern$$

The excitingly varied menu at this unpretentious little spot traces Moroccan, Turkish and African cuisines. Sydney’s favourite breakfast, avocado on toast with extras, is done here with a pleasing hint of preserved lemon and cherry tomatoes. Baked eggs with spicy beans and sucuk sausage, served in a terracotta dish with toasted Turkish, is a dip-able option for the first meal of the day. For dinner there’s merguez sausage on a bed of eggplant, shaved tomato and herbs on flatbread, minted yoghurt drizzled over, and an excellent Middle Eastern roasted chicken with dried lime, harissa and lentil pilaf.
