Like other 'vertical laneways' such as Curtin House, Campari House has a host of areas to enjoy. Spread over four levels, the decor - dim lighting, red carpet, chesterfield couches - leans towards the louche. With its panoramic views, the rooftop offers pole position, particularly when the sun is shining or the night is balmy, and there's a cold Fat Yak or White Rabbit in hand. Downstairs in the lounge it's cocktail time, with Charlie Chaplin (sloe gin, apricot and lime) and the Navy Captain (gin, cucumber, ginger and rose syrup) keeping the party going. The lounge menu offers things like smoked trout pate and crab cakes with aioli.
