Campos Coffee

Disciples flock to this cosy, cramped coffee temple like Catholics to the Vatican. But in this place of secular worship, the fast-paced, black-clad baristas are minor gods and the bean is sacred. Shrines of old grinders and other coffee paraphernalia adorn the walls, and the air is thick with that toasty aroma of just-ground beans. There's even a cupping room upstairs where you can try different brews. Choose from single origins, the monthly Cup of Excellence and an aptly named Superior house blend that's rich, balanced and subtly sweet. Food? Not so much. There are sweets and pastries but anything more would steal focus from the bean.
