Cape Comorin

Indian$$

Perched on a first-floor terrace insulated from the buzz of traffic, with decor that's clean, neat, comfortable and bright, wraparound windows and good, honest Indian cuisine; it's no wonder Cape Comorin attracts a steady stream of regulars. Dosa, browned and crisp, have that attractive, characteristic slightly sour edge. Onion pakoras are chunky and herby. Butter chicken has rich, tomatoey gravy. Beef vindaloo, meat melting, heady with garlic, displays an authentic vinegar tang. Palak paneer is well balanced, vibrant fluoro-green spinach hiding nice chunks of cottage cheese. Portions are generous, service attentive and friendly. And if the pomegranate ice-cream is on special have it: it's special.
