Chanoma Cafe

The menu of hot dogs and matcha (powdered green tea) flavoured desserts and drinks might seem a little odd to the uninitiated. But the Japanese fusion dogs are becoming a bit of a thing across the globe and now Sydney’s in on it with this cafe; all blond wood, shiny glass and shades of green. Try the Slovenia kransky with curry cabbage and cheese, a shrimp croquette dog with paprika, or ‘shaked’ chips – flavoured fries – with soy butter and seaweed, perhaps. Curiosity demands trying multiple dogs, but the matcha floats, frappes and parfaits taste as good as they look, too.
