Best after midnight and many drinks, Cherry Bar can be relied on to deliver a true rock'n'roll experience. Owned by ex-Cosmic Psycho Bill Walsh, it's a sticky carpeted Melbourne treasure where live bands play until 11.30pm and DJs spin classic rock till the wee hours. Touring bands can regularly be found hanging out after gigs and rumour has it that Noel Gallagher once offered to buy the place. Don't hate it for that. It's a strictly beer, wine and standard spirits joint so forget any fancy cocktail moves. Cherry's all about rock fans after a good time, with a no attitude, no ego, no dickhead policy.
