Contemporary

Chez Dee's owner, Denise Fisher, aka Dee, has scattered her French, English, Fijian and Chinese heritage throughout this beautifully styled terrace house cafe to charming effect. Upstairs is a lushly decorated boudoir complete with a daybed of cushions. Lie back and enjoy a strong, smooth caffe latte ($3.50) courtesy of local roasters Gypsy Espresso, or take a seat on the veranda or at the communal table for a delicate Tea Craft tea, beautifully presented in vintage china. Multi-tasking like mad, the cafe also sells gourmet goodies from cordials to chutneys, and can even offer you a glass of wine should you feel so inclined.
