For 12 years this cafe and roastery has been a must-visit for Vic Market regulars. Roaster Fabio Costa's espresso blend is a seasonal mix of beans from South America, Indonesia and Africa. In a short black ($3.20), it has a nutty nose, a fruity bite and a satisfyingly bitter finish. Market-fresh produce appears in dishes such as ocean trout, broccoli and hazelnut tart or duck breast, chestnut, grape and walnut salad, while house-baked cakes (including the signature castagnaccio, made with chestnut flour, rosemary and pine nuts ) and bomboloni from Ivanhoe Cakes take care of sweet bites. They'll also help you craft your own blend to take home.
