Coffeehead

Contemporary$$

The setting may be a little offbeat, but it's another story when you step past the astroturfed decking and into this spacious place that evokes a coffee clubhouse feel with its lowbrow art, foosball table, roasters and shelves of beans that read like the Melbourne Walk of Coffee Fame. Food features Noisette pastries and baked egg breakfasts, with pulled pork or steak sandwiches for lunch, but the coffee menu is a more expansive prospect with no less than six coffees highlighting six different roasters to try. Start with Coffeehead's 1961 house blend, well rounded, sweet and nutty with a moussey crema, and go from there.
