There are few more atmospheric, infamous and - dare we say - iconic spots than Revolver. Colonel Tan's is just another reason not to remove this place from your little black book yet. The food here puts many suburban Thai joints to shame. Super-tasty green bean and corn fishcakes are lively and light, while lime flesh and loads of chilli make a snapper-based betel leaf salad an incendiary mix. More subtle is an earthy jumble of minced pork and prawns encased in a delicate egg net. A creamy, fragrant Penang lamb curry begs for another chilled ale. And why not? Who knows when you'll leave? It is Revolver after all.
