Der Raum

Geekily serious about all things cocktail, Der Raum laughs in the face of entry-level spirits and commercial mixers and has gathered a cabinet full of awards in doing so. Add a membership policy (members get priority entry while the rest are welcome if there's room) and a six-course cocktail tasting menu and you'd roll your eyes at all the posturing but for the fact that they make original, surprising, tasty and sometimes mirth-inspiring drinks using ingredients as diverse as smoked fruit, paddy herb, toasted sesame and wormwood. The tasting menu is served with flair and humour by skilful staff.
