Contemporary
From the 'constantly polished' modern chandelier to the upright Yamaha piano, this Randwick cafe has a great sense of detail. Add Monique Le Chat and Duke Vonggaveesakul's love of coffee, and you've got yourself a sweet spot. Numero Uno's high-grown Altitude blend is deeply dark and full-bodied, and the permeate-free a2 milk (good for the lactose-sensitive) textures beautifully in a caffe latte ($3.50). There are new-brew opportunities, Teacraft teas, and plenty of treats such as the D-Stack breakfast bruschetta and the Canadian Heart-breaker, a tower of pancakes, bacon, fried egg and maple syrup.
