Durty Nelly's

13/20

$$

If you're looking for the craic Durty Nelly's is the closest you'll find it without booking a seat on Aer Lingus. This place has a bare-boards attitude and a clientele Sydney's other more-sham-than-shamrock Paddy pubs would kill for. It's also got Irish fare that's as close to the real thing as you'll find outside of a County Louth farmhouse kitchen - Guinness pie, boiled bacon and cabbage with mash and parsley sauce, Dad's shepherd's pie and a black pudding burger that's admittedly more backstreet boozer than country kitchen. Worth visiting on a Sunday for the roast, which is better than most pub roasts by a Tipperary mile.
