Put ‘dumpling’ in the restaurant name, and you already have everyone’s attention. Put up bamboo-print wallpaper and deck the place with wooden furniture and you’re really turning heads. But EDH delivers where it matters most. Dumplings: thick springy-textured skins stuffed with juicy goodness. Standouts are gingery chicken and steamed prawn, along with perfectly pan-fried pork buns, skins studded with sesame seeds and filled with (hot!) broth and squidgy pork. Mains might be steaming, star anise-spiced black fungus and chicken claypot or stir-fried noodles with shredded pork and veg. Service is efficient and portions are generous.
