Eclipse Specialty Coffee

Contemporary

This link in the Cafenatics chain is hard to find. Ignore the address: it's not in the Rialto, but tucked down the back of the Intercontinental Hotel on Flinders Lane. The place is more like a grotto than a cafe, but it's quality coffee land. A single origin Don Pepe espresso is sweet and medium bodied with a Granny Smith tangy finish and a slightly charcoal aftertaste. Breakfast is limited if you don't do eggs, while lunch might be a cajun chicken piadina, zucchini and artichoke fritters or a seasonal salad. A BLT with avocado is delicious with nicely cooked Andrew's Choice bacon.
