Young revellers, post-work office types (despite the alcohol ban) and expat subcontinental families come to this no-frills chargrill for tandoori chicken, which Faheem claims is Sydney’s best. It’s a contender, and tandoori fish and shammi kebabs are excellent alternatives. From there it’s curries, some Pakistani style, such as chickpea chicken; some adventurous, such as lamb’s brain masala, or katta kat - beef kidney and liver; and some, such as lamb dopiaza, fragrantly appealing. The three-veg-dishes-with-rice deal is a good sampler. End with kulfi or falooda, the Pakistani summer treat with vermicelli noodles.
