Modern Asian

Market-style Asian food served hot, speedily and until very late at night; there's a lot to love about this inner-city pho joint. Toss in Luke Nguyen's celebrity chef credo, pleasant service and sumptuously appointed surrounds, and you begin to understand what the fuss is about. And the line. With no bookings and new restaurant buzz, you'll have to be savvy with your timing - and not starving to properly enjoy your seats at bench or table, inside or out. While pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) made with Luke's signature 20-hour angus sirloin broth is the speciality - there's also a good balance of woks, rice-based dishes and small plates to share spanning Malay, Thai and Chinese cuisine. Try the salmon mandarin sashimi or lup cheong (Chinese sausage) and prawn fried rice, and wash it down with a cool draught or wine by the glass. Enjoy the complimentary jasmine tea, chocolates, and prices low enough to leave enough coin over to hit the Treasury's other tables.
