Fifty Acres

Cafe$$

Beautifully designed, with raw industrial surfaces and a sweeping white-marble bar, Fifty Acres references the old and the new, and gives equal focus to bold food and the brew. Silky-smooth Dukes coffee is made with the same attentive care that the chefs give to the cafe-smart food. For breakfast, yoghurt panna cotta is surrounded by nuggets of granola and moist raspberries. Mushrooms might be roasted with chilli butter, then piled on brioche with a fat whack of refreshing cucumber labna and oozing soft-boiled egg. Lunch is equally adventurous, with veal saltimbocca sandwiches; lively beef-cheek tacos; and hearty soups in the colder months.
