Foley Lane

Spanish$$

With windows opening to the street and tables spilling onto the footpath, there’s more than a touch of Barcelona (or is it New York?) about Foley Lane Tapas. Inside, the high tables fill quickly and speakers blast out Motown tunes. Order sangria by the litre or choose from the succinct, Spanish-heavy wine list, and kick off the tapas parade with montadito (little open sandwiches) topped with roasted wagyu, gherkin and radish. Follow with glossy, slightly chewy empanadas filled according to the chef’s whim, a tin of Ortiz anchovies with pickled cucumber ribbons, and textbook salt cod croquettes that redefine the term moreish.
