Italian

According to Frangipani, gelato should be part of everyday life. As should good coffee, and serious pastries, and Mum's home-made almond shortbreads. It all comes together at Diana Kontoprias' new premises near Cronulla Station, with an array of freshly made gelati, colourful pastries and biscuits, a red-hot La Marzocca espresso machine and a former Grind barista in Chris Price. A caffe latte using the house blend Little M ($4) is soft and creamy with caramel tones, and you can choose a scoop of your fave gelato to be drowned in espresso for the affogato. Preferably every day.
