Asian$$

Annie Lee was years ahead of the Modern Asian game when she opened her ground-breaking restaurant in Victoria Street in 1994. Twenty years on, in its more spacious Darlinghurst Road digs, the Fu still has its finger on the pulse with its nostalgic Shanghainese art, woody teahouse feel, and Canto/Northern Chinese menu of dumplings, steamed pork buns and Peking duck wraps. The big order is, as always, san choi bao lettuce cups generously filled with minced pork, but the nonya-style curries, roti breads and sambals are also worth checking out, as is the sago pudding in a glass.
