Gelbison

Tucked in a side street just off Bondi's famous strip, this traditional pizzeria offers great value and ocean glimpses (psst for the sea breezes book a front table!). The menu is chock-full of family favourites from thin-base pizzas, veal and chicken dishes, to enormous bowls of hearty pasta. Some dishes hit the mark more than others: homemade pappardelle with crab, clams and scampi burst with fresh sea flavours, while an eggplant pizza is a little off target, owing to its topping of 'zesty' parmesan. One glance at the rainbow-hued gelato bar though and all is forgiven.
