Gloria's Cafe

Well before this pocket of Petersham earned the moniker of Little Portugal, Gloria's was serving up Portuguese fare to local expats and dedicated foodies. The menu offers more than chicken and piri-piri: meals here are hearty and rustic and will hit the spot for anyone looking for a little comfort food. The Portuguese steak may arrive looking like a giant's breakfast, but beneath the egg, ham and cheese lies the tenderest of steaks. The paella-esque seafood rice is packed with prawns, mussels and vongole, all steeped in a moreish salted broth.
