Goshen

Korean$$

With its bouncy service and smart olive and plum-hued interior, Goshen confidently straddles the divide between the no-frills school of K-eats and some of the ‘it’ cuisine’s newer, funkier counterparts. Every good Korean outing should start with crisp, golden kimchi pancake, and the fried, pickly tang of Goshen’s is a winner. A sizzling (and huge) hotplate of tender chicken bulgogi in a tangle of caramelised onion makes a tasty play between spicy and sweet, and beef bibimbap, though flavoursome, cries out for an extra squeeze of kochujang (chilli sauce) to bring it to life, if you’re that way inclined.
