Green Bamboo

Vietnamese$$

Authenticity might be a few Ks east at Bankstown, but most choices from the menu here offer the essentials of South-East Asian cuisine: complex flavours and fresh ingredients in the grilled pork self-wrap rolls, red curry duck with pineapple and tomato and the terrific salads - tangy, crunchy - with either barbecued chicken, duck, lamb or beef. Laksa, pad Thai, satay and tom yum are also thrown into the mix. Look beyond its fancy schmancy julienned garnishes and chintzy cocktail bar and enjoy the attentive service - don’t be surprised if water glasses are replenished at least five times during a meal.
