Contemporary

Opposite the Noosa River, Gusto takes advantage of serene riverscapes and quality fresh produce to spoil diners with friendly efficiency and an enrapturing menu. Atlantic salmon ceviche is sensational, the walnuts and dill harmonising well with exquisitely fresh salmon and specks of micro greens. Specials such as the quail with charred witlof, pear chutney and aioli make the occasional star appearance. The Mooloolaba prawn and garlic ravioli is rave-worthy. With a delicate leek confit, the lemon beurre blanc sauce took this dish from great to exceptional. There's plenty of savoury sensation in the lamb rack perched on a flavoursome combination of spinach, lentils, potatoes and bacon, finished with a splash of yoghurt dressing. If there is one dessert you need to save yourself for, it is the chocolate marquise; insanely rich but breathtakingly light Valrhona chocolate pudding crowned with chocolate ice-cream and pistachio praline sprinkles. Beg for forgiveness later.
