Have your say

"Would you like some chocolate with your chocolate?" my sister says. The chocolate croissant has arrived with pouring chocolate on the side - we must be at a chocolate cafe.
Guylian is famous for its seashell chocolates, sold from the cafe's inside counter with other goodies. We're here for a family breakfast and ignore the more healthy-sounding lunch items such as soup, baguettes and salads.
The waffles ($15) are light, crunchy and topped with creamy hazelnut ice-cream - plus pouring chocolate on the side, which also comes with the pancakes ($15); slim, elegantly folded crepes with banana and strawberry.
My mother declares her raspberry and chocolate financier ($5) "special", in a good way, and my father says the hot chocolate ($7) is the best he's ever had. The cup comes with a slab of chocolate (dark or milk) at the bottom, which you pour the hot chocolate over. Our two-year-old seems to like everything, including being able to run around outside as ferries pass by.
Service is pleasant and this place is a good bet in a touristy precinct with limited weekend cafe action. It also has a short beer and wine list and is open late - a cosy spot for pre- and post-show drinks or to hog out on the chocolate degustation plate ($30).
