Contemporary

This cosy little gypsy hideaway has gone from strength to strength since deciding to roast, sell and showcase its own coffee last year. A long black or a macchiato ($3) via the 'dream team' of baristas Tom Ferson and Taku Kimura on the Mirage Trio machine is an ideal way to get the blueberry nuances of lighter roast house blend, The Gypsy. If you're ordering milk-based, try the sweet-spiced, warm-biscuity Magician blend in, say, a full-bodied piccolo ($3). Food is simple but fresh, such as an avocado and tomato bruschetta with roast tomato and goat's cheese.
